Works involved the construction of a new Fire Station for Galway County Council and the Galway Fire Service, this modern, single storey, fully equipped 3-bay Fire Station is a new build on a greenfield site in Athenry. The station includes storage areas, equipment storage, watch room, drying facilities, lecture room, compressor room, workshop, toilet facilities and an external drill yard and a drill tower for the firefighters to maintain and enhance their current skill levels.

Site development works involved new roads, paths, and paving, site boundary treatments including security fencing and entrance barriers, storage sheds, staff parking, drill yard with tower along with all hard and soft landscaping works.
